    Default Desert survival

I am new to this site, which looks really great.
I teach the English language (some American too!) to European armed forces., and business people.
I am trawling around trying to find the best stuff on desert survival for troops.
You will realise why I guess.
I have of course read many pages on this site, which are v helpful.
If anyone has suggestions to contribute I would be pleased to receive them.
    Help! in other words.
    Much appreciate it
    Yours
    Dick

I spent some time in the Sanora, finding water seeps that are not fetted. standing water in the sun is not very good there. scorpions are abundant (and good to eat) and they flouress with nite vision they turn orange and glow under blacklight. nothing to do with the sticky heat but drink water ans stay shady during the hottest part of the day. huge temperature swings (up to 60 degrees) can wreak havok +89 in the day +30 at nite. they say dont juice the cigarro but i do. the water is thick but can save you. i smash cactus and wring out the water, and just eat the fruits and flowers. look for juniper trees they provide tools, and fire, and shelter from the sun, food isnt much of a problem. and Now thats the Sanora desert (southwest USA)

Since you are in Italy - there's a member there that may be able to help you when he's not off skiing. (just kidding - kind of an inside joke)
