Depending on the time of year, but year round; trout, squirrels, deer, hogs, coyotes, a cow, LOL, acorns in the fall, berries galore in the spring, summer, fall, cattails, wild onions, egrets, ducks, neighbors 25lb cat, stray dog here and there, neighbors grapes, he won't miss a few (dozen).

I would def. pull out the plant eating book collecting dust and go to town.

The creek has a variety of critters, don't think meat would be too hard, the starches and greens would test us.

Acorns would be collected and processed.

    Kind of makes ya think.

thats cool m8... seems if porcupines are around, kill one and u have nice sharp points for hunting if forced to...
small critters are really more trouble than their worth... on my last venture of which i have recently returned, i bagged a few squirrles and rabbits with a bow... but, after butchering them and cooking the meat, it is very little... hardly fills you up...
turkeys are great... lotsa meat, fairly easy...

Would def. go to the trapping side of hunting. Set and check them every morning.

I would prob. invest in a very high powered air rifle, scoped. That way you could kill critters without anyone knowing. Pffffffffffffft.

In the spring, I have a flock of those nasty birds in my back yard. He ll, the deer wake me up at night, I have one of those motion detector lights. Wife has been getting on me about cutting her flowers down with the mower. I tell her that it's the deer, but she says no way as all the plants are cut down perfectly at the same hight.

So last week, middle of the night, I wake her up, look, there is your mower, she rolls over and looks out the window.

    Good for them.

Ahhh, not as climactic as I thought. Maybe I should just pop one, eat good.

There is no greater solitude than that of the Tracker in the forest, unless perhaps it's that of the wolf in the wilderness.

"Not I" cried Trax, as he slurped up copious amounts of the water.

if i had string or wire id trap , and make sure there are no coyotes , wolverines , or wolves in the area because they mess up trapping lines big time. if i didnt have string or the ability to make it i would make a wood spear and go after the quail / grouse / turkey or maby ducks and geese if i got good enough , never been a fan of rodents more of an upland game fan.
