Could be right. I stopped at Wally's after church and the ammo shelves were bare, nude, nothing, nada and empty. I got a guy I knew to check their shipment tonight, zip. Got him to check the warehouse, nothing. I could have bought a box of BBs and that's it. I ain't a happy camper. Now I will only be able to get 40cal from the LEOs, if they still have plenty.

Learn from our mistakes.Our government pushed through new guncontrol laws even after huge effort by SAGA(S.A. Gun Owners ***.).We are restricted to 4 firearms per person of which 1 can be used for self defence(usually a handgun or shotgun).That leave you with 3 licenses for hunting rifle,shotgun or handgun.You can apply for Bona vide hunter status or register as a collector,only then can you own more than 4 firearms.We have to write a exam,do practical shooting and fill in countless forms just to apply for a competency certificate.Everything with a written motivation why you need the firearm must then be handed in at the police station.Every body had to reregister their firearms.The due date for that was the end of March.After the date you will be in possesion of an unregistered firearm and can be arrested.Thousands of people handed their firearms in at police stations to be destroyed.8000 firearms already went missing out of police custody.Ammo is still available but so expensive you can not afford to shoot anymore.Dont stop fighting!!!!

The worst of all are the hundreds of people who lost their jobs.It usually takes about 1-2 years for the competency certificate to be approved after which you must still apply for you license.which may also take a year or more.It is not guaranteed that your application will be approved.For nearly 3 years gunshops are not sure if they have a sale or not,many small shops closed.Second hand guns have no value.Gunsmiths closed shop.I lost 2 firearms to the system.It is sad to see really old,valuable pieces being destroyed.Hunting rifles have to be reregistered every 10 years,selfdefence firearms every 5 years and if you are lucky enough to have a automatic rifle every 2 years.But on the bright side,we learn to make do with what we have.You learn to stalk closer rather than take a long shot,make sure of shotplacement,in short,hunt better.

I asked a friend that works as a local LEO about a gun buy back program a church was doing. I asked if it was legal to approach people coming to turn in guns (for $50) and offer them $75 prior to them getting to the site of the buy back. He said that while probably legal, probably not a good idea. He said most of the guns turned in were not worth the $75 and most of them could be traced to a crime. Sounded like a good idea at the time.

lol. Fill the trunk of the car @ $75 a pop, drive right around the block, park behind the liqour store, and put word that you got guns, any gun you got, for $100. Then call and order a pizza. You'll be sold out by the time the pizza gets there.

Visited my regular gunshop on Friday afternoon.A old lady came to give her gun in.The gundealer took me through his strongroom.I nearly fell on my back.It was filled with guns which people brought in.They choose to give it away rather than letting it be destroyed.A new thing that is rapidly gaining ground is black powder shooting.You dont need a license for a front loader.I dont know much about black powder except that it looks impressive and smells nice when you shoot it.Some game farms dont allow front loaders as they are apparently a firehazard because of the smoldering felt plug that can land in dry grass. Our hunting season is during the dry winter months.What is your oppinion on that?

guns are becoming more and more unpopular. even my friends in NC are leaning more toward archery and other waepons to hunt with. the athaurities discriminate against gun toteing citisens. there must be a better way shoot and hunt.but what is it. weve gotten far too comfy with the thunder stick. and to pay $2.50 for a single bullet.(Rolling over a barrel) is a rich mans luxury.

You can still shoot .22LR for dirt cheap.
Just picked up .223s for under $0.50 a round...and that's in Kalifornia.

.308 is running about that here. Definitely for the actual 7.62mm nato rounds. but then, they really don't want anyone shooting an AK, now do they?
