Default NEW FEATURE! Forum Support Shopping Mall

    Hey Everybody!

We now have a new section, THE FORUM SUPPORT SHOPPING MALL. http://www.wilderness-survival.net/f...splay.php?f=23

By clicking on the links in the various mall threads, you can enjoy shopping discounts when you make purchases on-line, and financially support the Forum at the same time.

For all of us who shop on-line, I encourage everyone to check the Forum Shopping Mall first. What better way can you think of to support the Forum in the future?

I am really tired of this money thing being acquainted with support.
Money does not support anything but ridicule.
You could ridicule me if you'd like.

Reality: It costs money to keep this site going.

Reality: I would rather do my e-shopping via the Forum, a win-for-me/win-for-the-Forum situation, than be assessed one thin dime for the bail-out of ANY private corporation.

And my reality also. I have this silly streak. When I am treated right , I return loyalty, if it includes what is suggested here, so be it.

I put it up because Ken asked for a way to help the forum. No one is obligated to use it, and it doesn't cost you anything if you do. If you're going to do shopping anyways, do it through there, and booya.

I'll add a few dozen merchants over the next week or so to flesh it out.

Crash, let's start with you...how much do you make ?
Ken ? How much did you make last year ?
    Not enough, Remy. Not enough.

Enough to do the things I need to do, and enough to do some of the things I want to do, but not enough to do everything that I dream of doing.

I made a couple of paracord belts. Dozens of bracelets. Several shelters. A mountain of trips to town. Several friends. One enemy (but he's a grouch anyway). The list goes on and on. I guess I made a LOT last year.

$3480. Not including the $.12 an hour while in Texas, but I didn't get a W2 for that.

Does participating, contributing, thinking, changing, growing, learning, talking, making friends...or not pay your light bill?

Are you drinking coffee again tonight? You know what that does to you. Not only do you get all cranky in your posting but you'll be up half the night.

Sir< with respect > I ain't your baby. I happen to married, to a woman. Thank you for the offer tho.

And yeah if I need something from Wal-Mart for my family I will order it thru the site if possible. See the thing is, I feel like some of the folks on here are worth supporting.

It's been my experience the only people to rant about how others spend their money are those who have more than they need and still want mine.

I'm not suggesting that anyone buy a damn thing they don't need or weren't otherwise going to buy on-line. What I AM suggesting is that if you ARE going to purchase on-line, you do it via a Forum link.

"......I remember a time, when talking about economics was not appreciated around here......" That reminds me of how my kids must sometimes think that the act of flipping a switch is the only "cost" associated with running a television, an air conditioner, a lamp, you name it. For most folks, economics is only an issue when they are the one paying for something. I like to contribute. We now have a way to do so which will effectively costs us nothing more than accessing sites via the Forum. Kinda' like flipping that light switch when you were a kid ........

well, It pretty much sums up my financial situation. I made enough last year to do the things i need to do, - pay my bills, upkeep on the car, eat well. I made enough last year to do some of the things i wanted to do, - picked up some camping/fishing gear, went on a couple of weekend to weekend camping trips. I didn't make enough money to do what I dream of, which is buying property and building myself a home. So I am still chucking money away for that, a little bit at a time. I make enough money to get buy and still find myself happy with my chosen lifestyle. I don't spend a lot, I outgrew the consumerism mentality that i went through in college and young adulthood.

    Forum hosting isn't free.

Don't like it? Don't do it.
    Simple.

If you don't like the stores offered, offer some of your own.
<But Walmart? Online? Pay shipping? Dunno 'bout that...>

Though I'd much rather buy the T-shirt or something...

There's alot of stuff on their site that isn't sold in stores. If I pick it up at my local store there is no shipping. It benefits me. I'm not trying to persuade anyone else.
    Well why not?
