Here goes: Who would like to join me? Lets go prospecting, fossil hunting, fishing and survival camping. Must be easy to get along with and have a car, truck or something. I have a sluice box and some pans. Maybe we'll get lucky.

You're going out into the wilderness carrying practically nothing for a month in Northern Canada without knowing much of anything about wild foods, right? That is most unwise. For the record, earlier I was trying to ask these guys some direct questions & was being ignored, then I visited their web-site & that's the reason for the post. You've taken it out of context. Read on & you'll find many of us were upset with these guys. Be carefull that you don't wind up in the same place.

The kicker is what ended up happening to these guys. A ton of people on this site said so before...afterwards it basically turned out to be an "I told you so" situation.

I may have done a few things that i should have never..... but I was always 2 or 3 days away from home.i would try that 30 days in two pieces ten days at a camp ground to familiarize myself with the surround then 20 days in the bush.

I have a load of survival gear at the house just incase things get bad and I have to head for the hills. But,I will need my 4x4 to pack it with.I know that if I need to go where the 4x4 won't go,then I have to eliminate alot of gear and take only what I need that will fit my daypack. Also I'll have to decide which rifle to take with me.I'm leaning towards my Marlin .35cal levergun with about four boxes of ammo. I'm wondering if I should bother taking my Starbucks frequent purchase card?

The 35lb deal kinda limits me.
Wool blanket, tarp, 550 cord, superglue, duct tape, snare wire, canteen and cup, mess kit, Kabar, double bit axe, book "How to stay alive in the woods", lots of good info there. I'd probably bring my S&W model 29, .44 mag, 8 3/8 barrel but I think it alone exceeds 35lbs, least if feels that way after toting it for a while.....
