    Default Snowmobile

    Does anybody here tinker with snowmobiles alot? If so, I have a question for you. I just bought an MBRP can and want to know if I have to re jet it or adjust the air/fuel mixture or anything? Thanks.

    I've never worked on a "snowmobile" but I have worked on "sleds and snowmachines".

    To answer your question. It depends on what kind of fuel delivery system it has. I would advise going on line and buying a shop manual for your sled. Also, unless you are riding up into the "high" mountains with a carburated machine, you shouldn't have to adjust the jet's.
    1. If it's in your kit and you don't know how to use it....It's useless.
    2. If you can't reach your kit when you need it....Its useless.

    It is carburated. And no high mountain riding for me. I ride at around 1500 feet (local altitude)

    If it starts and runs you go......they "ALL" break down. Learn how to have it towed via the skis. Take snowshoes, have fun.O'yea don't drive drunk.

    kklak...What about a "snogo"...you ever worked on one of those?
    Old timer ranchers and some Nodaks visiting here call them that.
    Sleds is the most common term here though...snow machines..so Alaskan! LOL

    Oh yeah...I bought a 1988 Polaris Indy Trail 440 last month for $300. Mint condition only 1700 miles on it from a friends grandfather. Been garaged kept and covered its entire life. Runs like a champ. Its the perfect trail groomer and back-up sled for me. Its really fun to putt around on

    Ok, so i bought the can, and it would fit except the stock can mount is a little too long. I am thinking of cutting it down a little so the mbrp can will fit. What do you think I should do?
