Default new person here, hi everybody

Howdy yonder folks. I'm just here to cry about not being able to disappear permanently into a wilderness and live ultra-primitively.

And maybe learn a little while I'm here.

Well, welcome from Alaska. You can read other intros to see how they normally go. As long as you aren't planning to run off into the wilderness with only a knife, you are generally welcome. And even if you are, you might add in some comic relief.
Why do I live in Alaska? Because I can.

    Hello and welcome.

The only limitations (usually -- sometimes the feature does not work) is that you cannot post any links until after your 10th post. It's an automated function to help cut down on spam.

Whew! Welcome. You will find most here are into practical prepping for natural disasters or things most likely to happen in their area. Nice dream but even most that took off into the wilderness set out to establish a place for more people.

That would be sweet. A few people, or even many, is preferable. Would be cool if it was quite primitive and long term.

My explanation is just for that one thing that I think isn't do-able, and which I'd prefer most - I probably didn't phrase it right when saying "all in or nothing" though - that if I did this particular kind of thing at all, I'd greatly prefer to stay out for good and not ever have to visit any town for any kind of resupply, and to be able to do it without packing in much manufactured equipment. But any degree of away-from-town and OTG living I would not turn down. Have tried to create that / steer my life towards that, but it wasn't meant to be.
