I got mine from a cousin that moved back from Florida. It does a super job with those short shells (about 1" long) come fall when we slaughter hogs.

that exactly what it was designed to be a divers self defense weapon against sharks and other marine life. With the capability to be utilized on land also. The problem with this is while it is legal the projectile component might render this tool/weapon illegal in many jurisdictions. Take for instance if pepper spray or tasers are illegal in your area than you can make a safe bet that using this item in a self defense situation will win you a new set of bracelets and jump suit.

i'd actually like to have one of these to carry.. i'll admit it's a bit james bondish, but i'd still like it.

I have 3 requirements for any knife I might buy:

1.) A RH rating of 56-58.
2.) A full tang.
3.) A price tag of not more than $120.

This knife has all but 3 of those features. Also I require a brand name & a nice look & feel to the blade which is, IMO, lacking in this one. Add to that the fact that I don't SCUBA dive...! However, for our richer members there's the "Bear Grylls" knife....:innocent::cool2:

I find that a lot of people (I take on primitive living and wilderness survival trips) get a false sense of security when they have gadgets (like this knife) or a backpack full of gear (their "safety net") that usually is unnecessary. That leaves people with their guard let down, which in turn, can set them up for possible trouble.

That knife is a little out of my price range. I will stick with my Becker Knives. I am kind of fond of a "real knife".

I have found that there are ways around every rule (at least those I feel should be circumvented). Binaca=blinding spray, yet completely legal. Besides, I have yet to run into the underwater police brigade.
All in all, I have to agree with Ole WV Coot in the aspect that this thing appears to be as worthless as tits on a boar hog (just like my husband's ex-wife).

Check it out, Ka-bar knife for 20 bucks. Well, not Ka-bar brand but in essence I would say it's the exact same knife for 20 bucks... ka-bar just makes too much interest on their knives.

As for that other knife, if I were bear hunting in a tree-stand, an adrenaline junkie, and had suicidal tendencies, I'd hop on down stab the thing in the head and see if the spray feature would piss it off or kill it... lol :D
