Same with me WolfVanZandt. I scored 61% D and 55% R, which can easily be a result of the particular questions asked. Makes sense cause for the most part I don't lean to a party, but view issues separate from parties.
It said I'm 21% socialist though and agree with the Socialists most on immigration issues, which I don't fully understand how that works. The other two parties were 31% each.
Part of the problem though is I recognize that there aren't simple answers to these questions. More than once I found 2-3 answers I agreed with in various aspects that were all equally valid. Like a lot of the subsidize questions. Yes, I believe in certain subsidies, but I want conditions on them, so to just answer yes (or the best fit under the additional responses) wasn't a true and complete answer, which could change my party affiliation with ease.
Yea I agree. A lot of them I though "yes, IF...." or "no, but..."

Taught me a few things - Canuck that I am - I never even knew that "Libertarian" was a thing... but apparently I am one. Followed by Dem (Liberal up here) at 63% and Rep (Conservative up here) at 55%.

That's probably one of the few benefits of being a lawyer. We can have an intellectual discussion with each other - even a heated one - and not make it personal in any way.
I can go to war in a courtroom against one of my brothers or sisters (that's what lawyers call each other, brothers and sisters) from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., go to lunch with him or her from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and continue the battle to the death once we're back in the courtroom from 2:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. After that, we'll depart as friends until 9:00 the next day, LOL.
Isn't that what being a mature adult is all about? If we can't do it, how can we honestly expect our elected officials to ever get anything accomplished?
It's different if you are in person. People online take advantage of the anonymity of the internet. I'm not saying that "discussions" can not take place properly, only that they often get out of hand.
Here's one for ya'.... My oldest son, in spite of all of our conversations, was a die hard "Hope and Change" guy.
Not anymore.
You know what made him "convert?" When he graduated from college and landed his first well paying job and GOT A CLOSE LOOK AT HIS FIRST PAY STUB.
I don't personally know anyone who agrees 100% with any one party. Rather, they pick issues that are most important to them and let that guide their vote. (At least that's what I do.)
And then there are those who have no clue and vote strictly on emotional bases.
That thing confirmed what I already know. That there needs to be a viable third party that takes the best arguments from both sides.

I didn't bother to take the quiz...I already know I'm practically a Commie! :w00t: At least compared to most of you folks. But I still love hanging out here. A common love of the outdoors and of wilderness survival makes the other stuff less important to me.:wub:
Erm ... no labour party , or Torys , or Lib Dems or any of them other lot. Confirms what I already know. I don't like political parties
