Any method of getting help avalible to you should be used :)
Not a stupid question at all, hillbilly. There have been several discussions about staying in communication with others during a catastrophic event, I don't know that cb's have been touched on just from memory.
ya true but i thought of it up in a quick instent
This is NOT a stupid question hillbilly,I do have one in my truck,I have a cell phone, but coverage is VERY limited in my area, bottom line is,I drive to work at 3:30 in the morning and with the larger part of the road "out of sevice area" of the cell phone,I got the cb,there is almost always someone on the air, even if it just the truckers on the interstate 15 miles away, they are alway willing to send help when needed.
Very good question in my opinion.
LOL Trax,it's country girl,or sometimes just cc. A black trans am??? nay a midnight blue mustang!!!!!!
10-4 darlin'
CBs are so seventyish and Smokey and the Bandit boring. But sure as heck i'd use it.
Actually I'm a truck person:D trucks can go places no sports car ever dreamed of going!!!!!!!!!
ya i got a cb radio to in my car and its prity nice to and if you look at my avatar its like that one and im able to reach out and get 5-10 miles depending on terrain
I have one in my truck, cell service is hit or miss in most of Marion County and non existant in the areas I usualy go,break an axle in the swamp and you will be a CB fan quick. Great if you need directions too, most of the folks around here have them, they came in right handy after the hurricanes.
Uh, breaker there, CC. I got me a 20 on a Smokey if ya need one.
Hillbilly ... absolutely a great way to get help if needed. Any way to communicate is a good thing.
How the heck would you use one in a sub? Oh, that's right. You guys navigate channels don't you...forgot....sorry.
It's a big sub. Easier than walking from one end to the other.
Sweet. Good answer.:D
I would. I use to be on cb all the time. I would like to get me a good base set-up. Around here we got a little language problem...Gotta learn Spanish .
I think I would go with short wave over CB. But would use whatever is available.
Well now, I think that depends who or what you're waving at. An airplane or a boat way off in the distance, for example, you'd be better off to jump up and down and wave both arms wildly than just using a short wave, but if you're the Queen of England (no Tony, I mean Elizabeth) and you're being driven past well-wishers...that little short wave is ok.
Elizabeth is the queen of ENGLAND, im Queen of Scotland :D :D :D
Riiiight my bad, well don't get yer wee sporran in a knot, just practice your short wave.
Beo (Wendigo) or whoever he is this week, bestowed the titles.
Trax is not queen of anything,he is Lord and ruler of Free Traxistan
Oh, no. Not socialized medicine. Say it ain't so.
Thats a stupid question why wouldn't you use it if something happen the you would want to use anything you could.
Now, now. There are no stupid questions. Close those gaping grizzly jaws and go on back to sleep. It ain't spring yet.
I have a CB radio that I use w/ my friends sometimes when playing manhunt and all. They are always fun, and useful.
