Hey! It ain't no bed of roses here either my friend. +45F and rain. Had to turn the thermostat up on the heat pump and put socks on my little feet to warm up.
Like 12 foot gators, -56 anything is God's way of saying, "Move".
And everyone wants to bug out to Traxistan. Yeah, right.
Why here in Free Traxistan it's a balmy -42 C after last night's blizzard. I'm going positively doty with the heat, I only needed one sweater today!
Still wanna go to Traxistan since ya'll overthrew Beowulfistan, traitorist dogs!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and it was +45 and raining here too in the armpit of Ohio known as Cinccinnati:D
72 dergrees and sunny, the Bass are biteing pretty good, plenty of gators.:D

Temps were about plus 40 degrees. At 1900 hrs it began to rain hard. By 2100 hrs it was freezing with dropping temps. It took me an hour and 26 minutes to get to work. Lotta cars in the in ditch. At work, we did traffic control for a sand truck spinning half way up a hill. Several vehicles spun out crossways in traffic below the truck. No way to get a wrecker in. Pushed cars by hand. Had my feet go out from under me twice - knocking the wind out of me. Ended up going out on sick time, may have cracked my pelvis.
Winds are up and TV is predicting wind chill of minus 30 to minus 50. Betting a few of the mushers are going to be in trouble before this is over.
Winter can provide a harsh and formidable climate. Just this afternoon I thought I was going to have to put on long pants for my round of golf.:DQuote:

low of 36f, winds under 5mph and raining, just about the way i prefer it.
Crazy day yesterday. High of 51 and it's 8 this morning. Thunderstorm and tornado warnings in January! Winds gust of 50 mph.
zero visability out here all of ontario under flash freeze warning high winds up to 121 km an hour snow fall warning and i'm going snowshoeing yeah

the good and bad part of living so far out of town is we both miss allot more days of work due to bad weather, wife just called said a transport slid off the road in front of her and is blocking the hiway days like this it can take 2-3 hours to get into town, as a vet tech her profession is not forgiving lots of ppl ready to take her job, as aplumber and one of the best in town i command my own schedule if my boss doesn't like it there is 48 other companies in town that want my skills so end result, me and the little brown dog get some bush time in extreme weather gonna be great.
I live 13 miles from where I work,and 7 miles of that is back country hills and curves and bridges without guard rails for the most part,and the roads are the last in the county to get any type of attention when snow and ice hit,my bass hates it when I call in due to road conditions,snow I can handle,the truck is worthless on ice she always complains because my truck is a 4x4,and gets really pi**ed off when I tell her I have 4 wheel drive,not fool wheel drive,my safety,my LIFE is more important than that job,if she doesnt like it,so what fire me!
the mrs worries to much about her job they treat her badly just waiting on an opening at another clinic owner has already expressed interest in her
so the snoeshoeing was awesome this morning up on the moutain wasn't much fun but down in the valley was really nice little brown dog loves being outside doesn't matter whats going on
