moved again
I was having one hard time finding work in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. So, a good friend of mine invited to to move down to Kentucky and stay with him awhile, to have the opportunity to go in the job hunt down here. I loaded up and made the drive in 16 hours. We just missed the storms that went thru the area. We are not too far from Bowling Green ourselves, so I understand what Poco went thru.

Welcome Neighbor!!! Glad you are safe! There are some jobs around BG. Just keep an eye on longevity. One Factory hired a bunch of people here about 2 months ago and a month later let everyone go that they had JUST hired plus some of the ones that had already been there.

Good luck on the job search Jen.

Moving is SUCH a pain. I sure don't envy you on unpacking. I hope you have much better luck in Kaintuck. Looks like you got to be a Hoosier for a few hours at least. :)

Ahh yes I remember ky well. I left adair county in 1985 making $2.15 an hour.
-
$2.15? Pffffft. When I left New Jersey I was making $1.81 and I was the manager of the joint.

-
Nah - that was 1975. In 1985 I was doing Submarine patrols in the North Pacific. I was probably making $1.63 an hour then.
