Ah, yes. However, all of the bailouts have been tremendously successful, because they slowed the growth in unemployment! :sneaky2:
Just remember that all of the self employed people who are going out of business because they have to PAY for this bullsh!t will NEVER get counted as becoming "unemployed."

Yeah That was what I was thinking about the "Corn and Wheat belt" areas on the Map being the "Lowest" in unemployment. Gives me a little chill to be truthful.

Living in Michigan and knowing the way this country has been run for the past 100+ years it's not surprising to me at all.
Things are going to get much worse before they get better. And they won't get that much better, or better at all, for the majority of people living in this country.
Last time I checked the unemployment rate was near 15- 20% locally.
Interestingly enough some folks are benefiting greatly from this state we're in.

actually, i kinda agree with that. I don't wish it to hit, but if it's gonna I wish it would happen all at once rather than slow and agonizingly.
Well luckily I have very little to lose. I feel sorry for all those fat cat bankers and all them rich people that are losing millions of dollars. :) Man I think someoe should give them a bail out or some type of assistance.
Because neither my Wife nor I could draw unemployment, we are not counted as unemployed either. Most folks laid-off around here either could not draw unemployment, or they have been laid-off for so long that it has run out and they are no longer on the rolls. Unofficial unemployment around here is estimated to be 25% to 55%. Official is ONLY 18%.Quote:

That skills that are taught on these types of Forums COULD become a necessity of their possible continued survival? Is there really that much Apathy? THAT is what really scares me.

What ticks me off is that a lot of people are still not willing to do whatever it takes. And if they are not willing to do it now, how are they going to do it when SHTF?

Small business accounts for 80 to 90% of all newly created jobs, but small business isn't getting any help, it is all going to the fat cat uber business' why "becuase they are too big to fail" BS! If they can't make it then let them drop dead someone with good business sense will fill the void.
