Welcome home. Yeah, I'd be interested in what makes you an expert.
Not so much "me" as the expert. I already had some heads turn at my domain name.
The website will be the "expert", as every page will be researched thoroughly.
I dont think noone should be called an expert unless they have spent over 10 years in the field of experties, personally i have about 5-6 years of survival knowhow behind me. BUT, Once the site is compleated it will be the expert. As you can guess it still has a long way to go before it can live up to the reputation, But I can promice you once the site is finished it will be a very reliable source for survival info.
I also hope to use this forum for my research purposes, Only the tryed and tested stuff of course
Ill be adding my bio as requested up in a second just to give you a little of my background info. Obviously only what im comfortable sharing, f course ;)

ahh, where to begin...
When i was a boy... *ahem... I was fasinated with the army, Like a lot of kids i wanted to join up as soon as i was old enough. Ended up joining both the army cadets and air cadets for many years where I met a lot of real "survival experts" who i became good freinds with. My time at cadets only made me more intrested in evasion, survival, and camping.
I became good freinds with an old ex SAS member who taught me a lot through the various exercises we used to do out in the field. He was a great insperation to me.
Even before I was in cadets I had john wisemans book on survival and used to make all the shelters, fires, weapons, etc that were in his book. It was like a bible to me. There are still muddy footprints and pages missing from where it was constantly used.
Apart from this, camping has always been a great hobby of mine, me and some freinds always went to avesbury most wknds making fires, shelters, crafting tools and stuff like that, and getting quite drunk!
I am also a avid fisherman, hiker, and small game hunter. I have to admit, most of my knowldge of survival came from all the books I have, but much of what i have learned has been put to the test on many ocasions.
Nowadays I spend a lot of time researching old bushcraft skills, and looking into hunter gatherer socitys, that stuff fasinates me. Understanding the tricks and tips that our ancesters passed down through the generations is of great intrest to me, also this current world being in the state that its in makes me wonder if this knowledge will come in handy one day in a SHTF scenerio.
Now I also try to inform people about why they should be intrested in prepardness and survival.
Im sure theres more, But i cant think of any, and im strting to rant. Hope that tells you enough about me.
