Think of it this way - there is always going to be talk of guns. Some people enjoy the discussions, while others do not. Now all of the discussions will be in one spot. Besides, talk of pink fuzzy bunnies might be fun on a slow night.
I can also always just make "fantasy/mythological scenarios" and "illegal activities/modifications" unallowed topics for discussion, allowing mods to close/remove any that they see.

I think if we're going to do that, we should do the same for knives.
I voted yes because it keeps the gun topics in one place. I won't keep stumbling across them in all the other forums. There are other boards that I go to if I want gun talk; I come here for survival knowledge.
Note that this doesn't mean that I won't of that I NEVER read the gun threads, but I would rather they be in one area than keep showing me that I have unread threads in all the forums.
