Great looking piece. Nice work.
Looks like you did a nice job of it. What are the points made of?
Very nice Runs With Beer!
Thanks, The point is made of Fire hardend Azaela, 4 pointed branch. 1 in the center surrounded by 3.
I'm not a bow and arrow man but I do appreciate quality craftsmanship. Nice job!
Did you glue the fletching to the shaft and then tie on the sinew, or just leave a primitive arch without glue-----great pictures.
Thanks Guys,The feathers are tied on,The feathers are stripped off the quill so they are paper thin.
Very nice work! How accurate is it?
It gos right where you aim it.
Outstanding job love the primitive form
RWB do you shot it in a lighter weight bow or one you might shoot for bigger game?
Very nice work . Do you have to smooth out the joint knots on the cane ?
Very nice work. A mate of mine grows bamboo. He offered me some Pseudosasa japonica (Arrow Bamboo) on the weekend. I will try to emulate what you have done. Do you have any more stuff you make to show us? Thanx, Reiver
I really like the look of the the leaves on the Pseudosasa japonica, they're so much longer than other bamboo's.
Awsome work with those arrow RWB.
Very nice work. Great craftsmanship.
They were made for my 48# Osage bow, And they fly great, I also have shot out of my 70# recurve and also fly great, But I feel there a little light. As for the cane. Its River cane on the joints its just a thin sleave, Just clean up reel good with a sharp knife, Straighten and yor good to go.
thing looks like a frog gig kinda lol. ive seen similair points in a book i have written by howard hill on his adventures hunting in the yukon. he had a different head for big game, small, fish and birds as do modern hunters. his fish head looks some what like the one in the picture.
btw nice job fletching that bad boy! it looks like theres a bit of a helix on there, am i right?
