This is a story of a people who really knew wilderness survival in Appalachia.
hillbilly is a word for a people who were mountian folk.
in puerto rico they are called jibaro . people who came mostly from scotch-irish decent
some german many married with native american annt still share a rich and proud heritage
of their ancestors. many brought recipies from the old country to distill the spirits we enjoy today.

south. people were there own herbalist with some being grey witches who had an emense knowledge
of local plants to cure and heal.today many still collect plants and make a living at it. they made their own

yet never forgot how to enjoy life to it,s fullest amidst it all. they built their own musical intruments,
gardened ,hunted fished,trapped,tanned hides,they were wood carvers, and many other things as well
