I alway carry a small first aid kit. I used four Kendal Tendorsore gauze pads and a tensor bandage for the gash and the other tensor for my wrist. Water isnt too far around here and under a big spruce tree would have made good shelter. My Garmin Rhino's can see where each radio is at with in about 8 km's. If I had been any farther out she would have not heard the page. My wife knows the fence trail well and how long it normally takes. I maybe would have waited for her maybe 3-4 hours as I sometimes just park and enjoy the view or find something interesting. I dont think I would have worried about staying out all night.
My concern was not having a helmet on and getting a head injury. Big wake up call. I would have been screwed. Didnt think I needed one being on my own property. Thats all gonna change.
I will speak with my insurance company on monday to either have my quad repaired or replaced. I dont trust riding around here with a bent or damaged frame.
