Nice..............
Nice looking.. looking forward to seeing the kukri.
More of a bolo then a khuk, but looking like the business already.
How long you leaving the mustard on?
Looking forward to seeing how they turn out.
Light makes it difficult to tell, but are you grinding in your bathrobe?
Looking good. Looks like a pretty handy set.
That came out great. Now finish the other one!
Great job, CS. That's one purdy knife.
Snakeskin patina. Great idea.
Thanks for the boost of confidence...I am going to need it to tackle the kukri or bolo whatever it is????
CS ya did a nice job with the mustard. I never would have thought to try that for a pattern on a blade. Looks really cool. My question is how long do you think the pattern will last under hard usage? Could something else be used to etch the steel to maybe make the pattern last longer? I really like the way it looks. Looking forward to seeing the bigun finished also.

I have seen and Tryed the Mustard mine didn't Come Out the Way I Wanted So I Sanded and Buffed It Off and Went With the Lemon Juice Trick .
I've Seen BBQ sause Used and Mayo anything with viniger will work. Even Weapping the Blade In a Paper Towel and Soaking it In Viniger and Washing it Off With Hot Water and Repeting Till you Get What you Like.
But your Mustard Design Looks Great
Nice job Cowboy, Cant wait to see the kukri.
I have made a little progress on the Kukri...I'll be posting the steps. In this one I drilled a few holes.

I cleaned it up a bit and countersunk the holes in the blade...Oh, and cut a few more out for the girls...
Looking good.
I am working on the Kukri. I am considering .25" aluminum for scales. With thick cowhide liners stabilized at the edges with superglue. It'll all still be pinned together...more pins than average. Do you think this can be done?
