Virus'

Poor Austin,is in the hospital in Louisville with a nasty virus,poor thing had not been able to keep food or drink down for 3 days before I talked his mom into taking him to the doctor,his doc sent him to the ER to have labs done,and the idiot there did not do the labs,but rather ex rayed his chest,and sent him home saying that he was throwing up because he has "air on his stomach" BULL$H!T !

She called his doc back and HE said BULL$H!T as well,and sent him back with a phone call that said they had better do the labs he was sent in for.

Poor this was so dehydrated that it took the a while to get the blood draws,they sent him to Kosair's in Louisville,and it took nearly 3 hours to get the IV started last night.

Good news is,they manged to get meds in him to stop him from throwing up,bad news is,it's going the other way now,and he still isn't a happy camper,but he still has a sense of humor,telling the nurse who was trying to start the IV that she is a joke (:sweatingbullets:) bet she never heard that from a little one before.

I have Hannah ,and if she shows the slightest hint of coming down with this virus,I'm heading to Louisville.

Hope everything turns out alright for the little guy.

Just got an update,(can't take Hannah down to the hospital,as he is now in isolation) He is not eating or drinking much at all,when he does,it comes back out,one end or the other,he is still very dehydrated.

Dropping Hannah off at the other grandmothers tomorrow,and going to spend the day with Austin,and let mom and dad go home and clean up.

Thanks for the prayers guys,he really needs them right now.

While I am waiting for grandma Mel to take Hannah,they are unhooking Austin from the IV,IF he eats AND more importantly drinks well today,they may let him go home this evening,so I may just be making the trip down to pick my boy up and bring him home:)!

And THIS:boxer::boxer: is what I am going to do to his momma and daddy if the allow him to go 3 days puking and not eating or drinking before someone takes him to the doctor again.

THe little man made it home this evening,but he is still not up to par,still making rushed trips to the restroom,and still not quite making it there in time,poor little guy,I feel so sorry for him,spent a few hours there with him and helping out a bit.

If he doesn't keep drinking,he will be back for more IV fluids,and he really isn't interested in drinking or eating.

Well, I'm glad he is well enough to be released. Sounds like he's headed in the right direction. Still have my fingers crossed.

He is doing much better,just really started and drinking without being tricked into it yesterday,or forced,was really afraid he would have to do back.
