It depends on how far North in Florida. The further south you go the more northern it gets. teasing lol.

That's very true. A friend that I used to work wit lives in Palm Coast (about halfway between Jacksonville and Daytona). He was a lieutenant, then captain in the volunteer fire department. He has a very heavy Brooklyn accent. One day I asked him if his accent ever got him in trouble? He said that people that didn't have his accent got in trouble in Palm Coast. In the years since that comment I have had many occasions to be in Palm Coast. I have asked several dozen residents where they were originally from. Without exception - New York.
