Chiangmaimav - good to here that your friend is doing better. He is in all of our prayers.
Thank God! It's great to hear how much better Dustin is doing. Nell, I think it's great that you had a thread asking us to pray for him, I know it really helped.
Excellent news, Nell. I am glad to hear that Dustin is doing better. Walking!!! Awesome!! I and the rest of my beetle buds will keep praying for a full and speedy recovery.
Thanks guys.
Tomorrow Dustin will be moved from the hospital in Las Vegas to a hospital in San Diego for further treatment.
Seems like the nursing staff are getting a small amount of revenge on the kid for his little attitude problem he has been having though, the pain meds have caused a delay in one bodily function that must be solved before he can be transported from their facility, his nurse today who is supposed to help him with that issue is a male nurse, and he said he has respectfully submitted a request for the smallest nurse on duty to take the place of the male nurse. That should teach him to be a pain in someone elses butt:eek:
Thanks crashdive. Friend getting better and planning to come visit Thailand soon.
I'm keeping that "Devil Dog" in my prayers!
Finally located Dustin,he is out of the hospital, but in a place called Wounded Warrior Battalion, for therapies,he is still in a lot of pain, but again is trying to be macho and not take the meds.
He cannot hear out of his left ear,the eardrum is intact, but the bones were dislocated and require surgery to repair, they will not do that surgery until his neck heals.
They told him the car he was in is unrecognizable,it was a 40th edition mustang.
Good to hear that he's dong better. Thanks for the update.
Good news then. The Wounded Warrior units are perfect set up for recovery. Keeps him focused and there is always someone there for him. Not quite as good as being with mom, but an adequate substitute.Send my best :)
Excellen update, Nell. I keep him in my prayers.
yes nell, good news.. a strong man and god can do anything..can u give us an addy where we can send to him??
Attachment shows some of the stuff they do in the Wounded Warrior Battalions. Provided FYI
OOPS, my ideas greatly exceed my technical abilities. The file is too big. Will check with a "techi" here at work and see if he can shrink it.
Thanks for the update. I've been away from the computer for the past five days but I've kept you and your son in my prayers. Hang in there!
Prayers are coming here to and we have added him to our prayer chain. Gods love
i second that aurelius, i only saw this just now, and had the same worry.
i'll give a prayer nell, for him and the whole family. i'm glad things are on the mend. my close friends/family where torn very badly a few years ago by a car accident, and i know both how deeply it can scar, and how well it can be healed.
Thanks canid,I have been talking to him on myspace, seems the only time I can reach him for now as he is either on duty (reassigned) or at therapy/dr appointments.
He says his back is definately causing him pain, and they still can't operate on his ear to correct the bone alignment due to his neck is still not healed.
He still suffers from dizziness and headaches.
I talked to a VA rep. here at home and he said that this will definately end his career and will be sent home when his treatments have gone as far as they can go. He is not going to be happy at all when they break the news to him.
Sending prayers for Dustin, the rest of the family and to you. After reading this thread just now, it seems as if many have been answered. Many more are needed and coming your way.
