All right! 2 months and no smoke no drink, And not to preach, But I feel Great>
Awesome ! Keep it up!
Good job...
I have 2 packs of smokes left right now, and am thinking of starting this quitting thing when they're gone.... any advise??
Only do it if you want to quit. Unless you have made up your mind to do it, it will not work. Once you have come to the decision to do it, do it. Do not wait until you finish this pack or the next one. I quit cold turkey, some find it easier to use patches and gum.
Congrats RWB! I am going to try the patches. Cold turkey didn't work out so good... nicotine is stronger than I am I guess.
Congrats RWB, OK laughing beetle you may have to cut out a few things at first. Beer and especially COFFEE just don't taste the same along with talking on the phone, driving or just sitting on the porch. I couldn't quit, tried for years, stopped for 8 mos. and started again. I can eat & drink what I want now but it's try and try again, I hope you make it.:)
but but but n n nn nnn n0t coffee!!!!!!!!!:scared::bawling:
I never gave up the coffee when I quit. LB - you can do it.
Off topic but the boards are having an issue again. It is freezing up when I click on new posts. Any other issues??
Ive been smoking for about 3 years .... and I have quit by alternating to chewing tobacco... first skoal, and then to levi garret.... the levi stuff has very little nicotine in it, and made quitting very easy. After I got sick of the taste of the chew it was all over.
Not that Im reccomending it, Just saying what works for me.
I know a guy that quit cold turkey and got the jitters for 3 weeks after he quit, talk about withdrawal.
Good luck! You in the hospital by any chance?
About a week before my dad died, a day or so before he was moved to a private room, I was talking to the terminally ill man in the other bed. He hadn't had any visitors I knew of, so I asked him if he needed anything. He smiled and said "A hamburger and a cold beer." About a half hour later, I was keeping lookout at the door in case a nurse showed up.
one day at a time...keep up the healthy living!
I've gone 14,166 days without smoking...and about 2 weeks since having a beer.
But, I've had two red bulls today!
This June will be 20 years smoke free. Haven't had much more alcohol either.
If your smoking around me then hope you're on fire. Otherwise the fire extinguisher is sure to pi$$ you off.:high:
RWB,I was wondering about your endeavor but didnt want to bring it up.Good Job!Drinking and smoking go togeather with alot of my friends too.Im good for a couple beers, then I offset the dehydration with water. Most offset the dehydration with another beer.Id say your out of the woods, never fire up another one.Cigarette that is.You may have to change your name to Runs from beer!
