I might have sawed off my hand but I would at least have taken it with me. How's he going to count over 5 now? Dumb. Really dumb.
And just how do you expect him to get his shoes off with only one hand? Didn't think of that did you. He's still stuck at 5.
If it was Florida he'd be wearing flip-flops and it wouldn't be an issue.
I'm thinking if he was dumb enough to cut his hand off the idiot is mostlikly barefoot
yeah, for goodness sake!
These writers have so little real world experiences that is ruins a stories continuity.
Hacksaws go right through everything that holds him except the cuffs themselves.
Same error in storytelling that happened in Saw.
Well, I was impressed last night. A Zombie offensive unlike anything I've seen in the past. Coordinated attacks on multiple fronts timed when they were least expecting it. I don't think the live folks are going to be able to fight a war of attrition, however. The upside for the Zombie's is they don't have to pack a danged thing.
Looks like the wife beater got his just deserts. (get it? Zombie. deserts. I slay myself)
A worn out blade wont cut, believe me I have gone through a few. Its too bad this show is only six episodes this season.
a worn out blade will cut a piece of rusted out mild steel allthread just fine, if you have got enough time. i think his belt would have cut through that. :D
It didn't look like a comfortable sawing position being handcuffed to the all thread though. The zombies were at the door and he was already loosing it. I might of just slit my wrist if I couldn't cut though and been done with it. I was scared for my life once when a bull on a hunting lease charged me. I don't even remember climbing the tree or feeling the cuts on my back from the pointy branches. I could just imagine having some ugly mugs trying to eat me. Oh yea and I even forgot to take my red cape and to say ole, Hehehe...
yeah; any of us could have come up with a better solution with the luxury of a calm setting, ample time and a zombie free work environment. lol.
i still think he would have been better off if he'd gone for the thumb, though if the cuffs where quite too tight, it might not have been possible anyway. i'd just give up a thumb than a hand if i had the choice.
Cutting my hand off is NOT on the option list. Eaten by Zombie's, maybe. Intentionally hacking off a body part, uh no. Not gonna happen in this lifetime.
I didn't get to see whatever that was on youtube.com I got a block sign that said "This Video is Private."
So pleased you guys are enjoying this one. For me, it is my replacement for "Lost."
I have not read the entire series, so I can't comment on how these capabilities compromise the plotline. However, I will say that the show seems to be basically sticking to "Romero rules" of zombies, in which they are capable of using simple tools. I admit, climbing the fence is pushing it, though. At least we haven't seen that happen much. Perhaps that is something that a zombie only rarely has the muscle-memory capacity to accomplish.
For what it's worth, the series is being overseen by the original creator of the comic book series, so whatever is being changed, is happening with his blessing.
It is hard to be exact, however the comics and other sources do give us a few hints:
At the time that Shane and Lori evacuate from the city, Rick has been in a coma for 3 weeks.
At the time that Rick first meets Glenn, Glenn tells him it has been about a month since the outbreak began.
According to one chart I found, a human can survive in the shade with no water for approximately 9 days. I reckon Rick's hospital room qualifies as shade.
lol. Yeah, I had the same thought: That the writers came up with that because they got it from "Saw."
I like that they tried to explain that in the following episode, even if the plausibility of the explanation is debateable.
If you don't have cable (I don't), your best bet might be to get a season pass for the show on itunes, which costs about $15 for the whole thing. You can watch the first episode on hulu or AMC.com for free, but you will have to pay if you want to watch more.
Additionally, you might see if any theaters in your area are screening the show for free. There is a theater near where I live that does this, and each week I go and see it on the big screen with an audience! It is a really great experience, really feels different than watching it on TV, and doesn't even cost me anything.
I am getting my lazy boy and popcorn ready for tonight. Its the only time I can sit down for three hours and watch the tube. The two showings of episode four and then Breaking Bad.
Is there a place online where you can watch the past episodes?
Just read a couple of posts above mine. Didn't want to because I thought I might get a spoiler.
limewire, frostwire, and various other filesharers. torrents site work too
