You know, its funny, I deal with socialite snobs somewhat regularly. Never imagined there were off the grid snobs too. Guess what; Everyone is a "slave" to the lifestyle they have chosen. You have things in your lifestyle that you have to do or you will die (or at the least, be miserable). There are things that suck and things that are great about both sides of the line.

I always ask myself about these things: "who's manning it and who's looking at the data?" It's not THE MAN. It's some poor 9-5 schlub like you and me who is likely underpaid and would love to make a fortune selling book rights and interivews to the press if something devious was actually taking place.
Depends on your definition of "more". Any arial reconnaissance has the capability of surveying a large amount of land based on the optics it is equipped with and distance it covers. A drone may be better equipped than a helicopter and be able to see more. It can definitely see more than a person on the ground. However, it's still line of sight. A satellite in space is also line of sight. If I'm growing pot in my backyard, no matter how they see it (foot patrol, helicopter, drone, satellite, google maps), I'm still going down with no legal recourse over invasion of privacy rights.
