I miss reading about Tahyo and Bragg's "smoking" events. Remember all the pics they posted? They gave me some good ideas, as well as cranking up the appetite a notch or two.
From this site, I've read a bunch of info on Dick Proehneke (sp), Cody Lundin, and even took a survival course recommended by FVR. It was an internet search on Les Stroud that got me here. I don't feel like I have a lot of experience to share, but I do check in a couple of times a week to read the posts.
mitchchessney always had alot to share. also haven't heard from spud in awhile, wonder if he ever got all his recruits?jk

Sarge, you mentioned carcajou garou, he is happy and well now, he has a light, sure step, paddles, portages his canoes all day long with a smile on his face and has the strength of his 20's, I hear him often as I follow a trail up river, never quite catch up to him though.

I wasn't here when it started, and since I joined I have kept my head low for the most part. I have noticed the forums ups and downs. Sometimes more on topic, other times less. But if the forum didn't change with the members it would quickly die out.Quote:

Well I'm still around....and round! Sorry to have been away for so long. Been haveing a few very bad weeks. Buried many friends and students. (9) Havent been in the mood to write much although I did check in a few times. I'm down but i aint out......I just havent figured out how to get up again. I'll get there eventually!
