If luck was on your side.....the tsunami might put out the volcano.

My daughter took her first semester at the university of Hawaii last year. A tsunami warning came in and she went up a mountain a ways and stayed with a friend for awhile. All went well. here where I live, a natural disaster is when the first day of deer season falls on a day other than a weekend. Forest fires do concern me though.
Rick: the only problem with Swains Island is the limited schedule of the public bus service. Faiaoga
Ahh yes, forgot about bigfoot. They're not so bad unless ya eat up all the jerky, they don't like that.
New Zealand wildernes would be perfect. Not much people and a perfect climate
Tsunami, not often and easy to get away from with warnings. Just don't be on the beach.
That volcano has been erupting for many years. How many people died in the last 10 years from that volcano? I'm just guessing but probably none. Unless they walked up to the edge and jumped in. I lived in Hawaii for 5 years and during that time I think there was one flood and no one died. I did see a floating VW on the news that was cool. Volcanos in Hawaii don't explode they flow lava. All you need to do is get out of its path.
Uh, they were jokes. Let me get my crayons out. (rapidly drawing) This right here is humor. (more drawing) This is the mark. Notice how the humor missed the mark?
I ain't movin'! Lava or no lava.
Me neither.

Lived there for four years. That's why I responded the way I did with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek.
There is a interesting website for geography called the Atlas Obscura It explains many interesting geographical facts, and it lists many interesting places to live. Check it out.
Rick might want to look at some alternatives to Swains Island, in case he cannot swim there during the zombie apocalypse. There is Snake Island, off the coast of Brazil. There is also Antelope Island, in the middle of the Great Salt Lake of Utah, with a resident herd of bison.
Swains Island lacks both bison and snakes, although there are "aitu" (ghosts or spirits). It is always good to have an alternate island to go to.
If your island had bison why on earth would you call it antelope island? Some poor unsuspecting antelope my run across that and think, "singles bars" only to get there and find bison. That's just sad in my book. And don't get me started on an island with snake in the name.
By the way a "well hong" is a completely different thing than clothing. A well hong is found along the banks of Hong Lake and is used to draw fresh water.

I, on the other hand, am a certified member of the Hongmen.

When discussing Hongmen there should always be accompanying pictures.
