We deal with the world's problems every day whether we are hauling bags of grain out of a chopper or paying higher prices at the grocery store. Our standard of living is based largely on our productivity. A rate that has been increasing nearly every year. But if the world rises to our standard of living then there is no incentive to come here. If one currency means 1 dollar anywhere in the world why go thousands of miles away to make the same 1 dollar you can make at home? If everyone is at the same standard of living there is no need to come to the rescue. But when it comes right down to it. It's not a matter of Big Brother taking over anything. It's a matter of loosing what little we have to hang on to. It's the sounds that keep us up at night. The fear that someone else might get what we have. Isn't it?
