Oh, you bet. I just meant what you are comfortable with carrying for survival and where you draw the line on stuff you carry. That's about the only thing out there that you or I could use to stop arterial bleeding and I'm sure not knocking the product.

Why did you choose the 15 over the 35 gram packet? Wouldn't this be a "more is better" situation?

If you needed 35 gram one then would you not have more than one gunshot wound ?

After talking to a returning Medic who has used both QuickClot and CELOX, I tossed out my QuickClot and bought the three pack of 15g CELOX (but I only carry 1 in my pack and keep 2 in the van for accidents I come across). Your probably right, more may be better for someone only carrying 1 pack of either, especially if you're by yourself. They sell the 3 packs of both if you want it. He told me that he carried a small pouch of the 15g packs, as they hate waste, and he could always add more if needed.

There ya go, making me think (and costing me more $).

Tony - I was actually thinking more along the lines of a compound fracture that rips a femoral artery or a piercing or gash injury from a tumble down a bank. I can just see it now, you have this big honkin' bleeder and you dump 15 grams of CELOX on it and it's still bleeding or just as bad you spill half of the package in your haste to get it on your wound. Then it's, "Well, sh**! Hail Mary full of grace the" ... time.

I can see where your comming from Rick, Ive been close to being shot once by some guy out shooting birds, when he was carrying it he kept it pointing forwards and i dont know why but it went off, i never got hit but it was pointed in my direction, I ran like hell out of there and i aint going back
