The Env3 I got last month was a piece of junk. It kept dropping calls and was "searching for service" about 25% of the time, even in places where I had just shown 4 bars.
So the 30-day trial period was due to expire last week, and I brought it back. They ran a check on it and found that it had "only" dropped 37 calls in a month. Before that, I had never dropped 5 calls in a whole year. They didn't want to replace the phone until they "checked" their towers to make sure there wasn't a problem since more than half of the calls dropped from the same tower. HELLO!!! That's because that's the tower closest to my home and office. After we discussed the fact that I was dropping calls all over the place, the consumer protection law, the amount I wanted to be reimbursed for my inconvenience, and the fact that I was going to cost them far more than it was worth, Verizon changed its tune and replaced my phone with a third unit.
One week. Not a single dropped call with the newest phone. :)
You must have gotten one of those old AT&T phones a customer traded in. Yeah, that's probably what happened.
