beautiful my friend.
That file work is great looking . and thats the first time doing file work?
Pretty dang impressive. I'm looking forward to the finished product.
Hey CS, Like the file work, looks nice. Good work.
Looking good, nice work.
I made a new firesteel up and started on the knife scales...The firesteel handle is a .410 shell cut down, I removed the primer and used a Carter Pin to make for a lanyard (Dad used to make us keychains this way) I used JB weld to hold the firesteel in. The knife scales are Maple...I stained them green as a test...Not sure if they'll stay green or not! I am really liking the firesteel handle!

Cool idea. Looking good.
Great progress! I like the .410 handle for the firesteel and I really can't wait to see this knife all done.
That is a great idea on the firesteel handle, the green scales (if they stay green) after shaping will look good.
I like the fire steel handle idea.
I like that firesteel as well. It's pretty high on the cool scale.
Here is an update to this one...I have decided not to go with the green this wood is too purty. Getting ready to head to the forge......

It is a flat grind! That's a .38 brass cutdown for a lanyard liner! I plan on keeping the handle rather large but it is'nt finished yet...
Curious about trying liners and filling the file work with colored epoxy...What do you think?
Looks great. I like everything about it. Well done.
I have not tried either yet, so can't really offer any advice.
Nice work cowboy! I like the bullet casings it a great idea. I was thinking of doing that as well.
