Chicken Noodle Soup
* 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 pounds of chicken pieces (I use boneless chicken breasts)
* 4 cups of water
* 4 cups of chicken broth
* 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 1/4 teaspoon pepper
* 1 small onion
* 2 chopped carrots
* 2 stalks of celery chopped
* 1/4 cup of parsley chopped
* 1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram or basil ( I use basil)
* 1 bay leaf
* 8 oz. wide egg noodles
Preparation
Place all ingredients EXCEPT the noodles in a crock pot. Cover and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours. Remove chicken and bay leaf from pot. dice the chicken and return to pot. dispose of bay leaf. Add the noodles to the crock pot and cook for about 1/2 hour or so until the noodles are done. Or cook the noodles separately and add to soup just before serving.
You can "spice up" the soup by adding mushrooms or green beans or what ever your favorite veggie is.
