I have the distinct advantage of being a government contracted security manager. At work we have at our disposal, firearms and ammo, stocked food in the form of MRE's, bottled water, an entire machine shop, tow ropes, trauma kits, defibrillators, body armor, several different forms of transportation. I'm also lucky that I'm only about 6 miles from home.

However when I was working, part of the time it was in a cubical farm, had to complete all the investiagtive reports before heading back out the next day, don't you know.
I alway throught about that, as the roadway around the office building area would flood and you would be stuck in the office for several hours, sometime until late at night.
The boss would send the women home when the heavy rain started and before the flooding began.
I also had to empty a couple of desks of employees that were terminated and you would be surprised at what you could/would find. :eek:
My efforts would be to Raid everyone desk draws for food items, matches lighter, Etc. We had about 40 women working in the office and they had food in every desk. some enought for a week. :)
We would also have about 30 lbs of coffee and 40-60 gallons of bottled water in the office at all times, Plus a candy machine and a soft drink machine.
There were about 20 other building in the complex simular to the one I worked in. If SHTF it would be a scroungers delight. even if the buildings were blown down. STUFF would still be available.
There were always someone that were out of the office or off work, on vacation Etc.
At work , out of the office I would be at a construction site, either new construction or remodeling.
If you can't survive off the trash pile at a construction site, You had better be taking a remedial survival course.:D
