That's not what the Navy called it.:sneaky2: I will, however refrain from using such language here (keeping it pg-13 and all). The ham - about halfway through a patrol was called rainbow ham.

I have lived in Maine for 35 years, and close enough to hear the planes do a high power turns at night, I'm really going to miss having the P-3's, C-130's flying around the area, because there was a good bit of pride having the base here, and people wanting to be assigned to Brunswick. I believe that after Jacksonville has a good hurricane, that the Navy will see the error of their ways. It took NGSB Shipbuilding three years to recover after Katrina, the Navy could have the same problems after a storm, with all of the planes being centered in one spot. I realize they fly the planes out, but the rest of the base will be a mess. Now we have a for rent sign on the 10,000 foot heated runway, any takers.

Hey don't knock the lobster, I miss going down to the docks and picking out my lobster and going home to boil them up. I actually miss deployments as well.

Sad situation, especially for folks who have been stationed there.
