Been there. Have relatives who live there. The ocean water's warm - like bath water. Good for sissies, I guess. :innocent:

Yeah....some example you're setting, for new members, there Ken!:sneaky2:
Uhhh....sorry 'bout that Cowboy! Ken got carried away, again!:blushing:
I know that beach Ken...I agree its a mans beach.Cold water, nasty currents when the tides change, the list goes on and on.
My grandfather was a carpenter and a bee keeper. He would keep a chunck of bees wax with him and run wood screws through the wax before using it.
You got it, Joe. That's a real beach. The kinda' place where guys like you and me first learned to swim. The trick was to avoid getting slammed into the huge rocks and dealing with the rip currents and undertow that are almost always there. Cold water. Real cold.
The wussies down on the N.C. shore would never survive it. :sneaky2:
Ken, almost always? Damn I missed the one good day.
I watched a guy on a pool floaty get picked up by the coasties. He started at gooseberry and was half way to cuttyhunk by the time the seahawk dropped the basket to pick him up.
He musta' stayed close to Route "B", huh?

Almost exactly.I had showed up to goosberry to do some fishing and saw the guy floating near shore.I had to run back home because I had forgotten some gear and when I got back people were pointing to a speck on the horizon.A few miniutes later the coasties showed up and picked him up.
Cowboy you need to round these two up for hijacking your thread. a free for all would be interesting

Seriously, you guys are sooooo lame! Anyone can surf on water. Pffffft. That's like kid's play. Try surfing behind a 4 wheeler. Now that takes talent. Even the girls in Indiana can do it.
