So what are you trying to surmise from this poll? And how many people do you think actually told you the truth?
Just curiosity, Sarky. Just wondering how we've all chosen to prepare, especially considering the ammo shortages today. It struck me yesterday for the first time - my favorite gun shop was out of a number of calibers of ammo, some back-ordered for months. First time I ever saw that at that shop.
Question: Why would anyone not tell the truth when responding to a confidential poll?
Well, Sarge, maybe the Mods can see the results and the identities of those who've responded, but the members and the public can't. Isn't this the whole purpose for having "public" and "private" polls?
As far as this question being nobody's business, can't you say that about almost everything posted here? How many of us post about the firearms we own, the ammo we've just bought, who has purchased what recently (What have you done this week to prepare?), supplies we have on hand, the preparations we've made.........? We can even discern a great amount about each other's personalities and location from our posts.
If anyone doesn't want to answer a question, it's quite simple. Don't answer.
If I wanted to keep everything in my life confidential, I would have remained a lurker and never have become a member to begin with. Maybe I'm just not that cautious - or that paranoid.
I wonder how much ammo could be coached out, if the price tripled, say the cheapest 9MM ammo was $100.00 per box. At some point the price needs to go up a lot on ammo.
The price of ammo today is about 4X's what it was in 1957, maybe 5X's; However the price of Gasoline in 1957 was 16.9 cents. and diesel was 1/2 of that, or around 8.9 cents per gallon. GOLD was $32.00 per oz. now it is $932.00 per oz.
The good news is Wally World is stocking .22lr again. At least around here. They still don't have much of anything else but I was in three yesterday and all of them had 22lr, 22 mag and 22 bird shot on the shelf. I haven't seen that in months.
Just to be clear - the moderators cannot see how individuals vote on the private polls. All we can see are the results like everybody else.
Drat! One more cat out of the bag. If this keeps up my superiority will be inferior.
Unless you need some .22lr, I'd leave Kens place alone.
Of the 3,280 rounds that are not .22lr, I think he is counting 3,200 rocks in his yard, as rounds for his slingshot!:innocent:

It's you're ammunition - count what you want.

I have raided my local Wally World (all ten of them). Although I will probably pick up some more this weekend from Georgia Arms at the gun show, what I have now most people would probably call sufficient.
So, my bet is that you voted somewhere over 100. :innocent:
You know,(not meaning to combine threads, or get off topic..:innocent:), I'm thinking .44 cowboy loads would be a good home defense round.
