Another possibility Ken - Maybe the planners figured that since we're all going to die, we may as well gather everybody together in one confined area to make it easy......after all we wouldn't want to upset anybody. (this theory is based soley on your comments in the intro section and are not intended to reflect on the spirit and attitude of the people of Mass.) No one? Sure it might look like a great place to live, with great atmosphere and culture. That doesn't mean you SHOULD live in

IMO the people took responsibility for living there when they moved to

- in hurricane country.

And the government didn't show up because they figured it was a lost cause.
But I do agree the feds didn't live up to their obligations. They still had an obligation to help those people even though they made bad choices.

That's true of anyone. California (wild fires, quakes) Midwest (floods, tornadoes) Northeast (blizzards, clams) East and Southeast (hurricanes, gators) Gulf Coast (hurricanes, Saints). Everyone has something they are ashamed of.:D

My skeletons are locked away in a very secure place. So in outward appearances I have nothing to be ashamed of.
