Thank again to everyone....We left town and came out to "The Place" our cabin......been mowing and yeah, as I'm mowing in front of the porch, I ran over a few of Gunny's "sticks" in the field (we played 'stick off the porch" for hours and hours).....sorta just was fitting, to let me know he's still here.
Maggie Mae, the old, blind, bad hips, bad breath, skin problems, snoring, black lab,.... that we adopted after the BIL passing, is still here and keeps looking around for both, her Daddy, and Gunner......
She has been doctoring for years and we would have never guessed that she would last this long.....So she's getting the lovin' these days.
Thanks again, all....this is not the first time, and I'm sure not the last time....a good dog will come in to our life.
What's really bad....Duck season opens in about 2 weeks.........Oh, well.

Sorry for ur loss, it sux but their worth the heartbreak. I have 4 buried on the hill behind the house. I'll never be without at least one. Lost my rot back in July was gonna start looking in jan then had a friend that knew someone who was looking for a home for a rot mix, now I'm back up to two again.Attachment 9470

Thanks B, we all need to be reminded that you get back what you put in, and all the little thing are what make up our lives.
Dog people understand, cat people understand, horse people understand.......not real sure about snake people.....LOL
This was a good story, as all pets have a personality, and in the end, I do believe they make us richer.....
Was just petting Maggie Mae, with all her problems, and love her even more.
This will pass......but gonna take a while.

So sorry for your loss Hunter. I have been on vacation and just catching up. We lost our black lab Christmas of 2010 and we still miss her. They are just the most loving dogs in the world.
