Another new toy

There are some pretty good diy cnc gantry tables floating around youtube too. you can get a pretty decent 3 axis board bundled with some bipolar steppers big enough for the task for like $200 these days and small acme screws are fairly cheap from suppliers like mcmaster carr. I have wanted to build one of those for some time too.

Well damn the luck, but there isn't a single replacement NEMA 10-20 plug to be found in town, unless I can find an old dead dryer to liberate one from, so it looks like I'm waiting til I can update the receptacle. Probably a good move, since a 30 amp circuit is really what's called for here anyway.
