Yeah, as far as world events go, on the other hand, I wouldn't see life as we know it existing like it is much further than 2012. TS could HTF on worldwide scale around that time, but that could happen tomorrow or 2020 or 2050 or 4312. It's a mystery that we won't find out about until that time. It's another Y2K type thing, only Mayan style.

Here's the problem, as I see it, in predicting the end of the world. 1. You're just plain wrong and everybody knows it. 2. You're right and there's no one left to know it. You can't win.

I would agree with that. About the only thing you would have to do is strain it, I suppose, to get rid of any surface debris but that would be some very pure water.
And the glacier worms. let us not forget the glacier worms. But they are protein and yummy in the tummy.:pQuote:

What do you do if you can't reach the glacier? The water is too silt laden to drink without straining a couple of times. Any more silt and you could walk across some of the rivers.
Question for you. While I was there I kept hearing about how dangerous the silt was. I never tried it out so I don't know. The way they explained it to me was the silt was triangular shaped and wedged together if you stepped into. Wouldn't release you or release you with great difficulty. True?
