And I am in Canada.
Did I mention I was in Canada, home of the Women's Olympic Hockey Champions for the third Olympics in a row?
Nope. You didn't mention that, eh.
The medals in other events are nice, but all any Canadian really wants is Gold in both hockey events.
Congrats to my Canadian friends.
Congratulations to the Hockey teams, but even more so to Joanie Rochette, who won a bronze medal while skating through the heart ache of losing her mother just 4 days ago.
Yeah, they were swilling Molson and smokin' blunts. WooHoo
Yeah nobody here seems to care they were drinking beer.
That was a good WooHoo not a sarcastic WooHoo. I'm for 'em!
Oh me too, but I felt... (never mind Nell's gonna be reading this, let's just say I have no interest in partying with the men's team) I heard that some of officialdom wanted to boot them out of the Olympic village for that. If you want to punish someone that way, don't you do it before they've won gold medals? Cuz I'm pretty sure they would have said, yeah we'll go, but the medals are coming with us.
The Olympics great downfall is that the entire event is run by (shudder) committees.
What's the difference? Everyone else does it after the fact. I mean, it's just a bunch of sweaty girls getting drunk....I'll be back. I need to turn the thermostat down. It got warm in here for some reason.
You should have seen the medal ceremony with the two Canadian Bob Sled teams. I swear those two girls (hot) were a heartbeat away from necking!
Yes very warm.
Anyways, back from my trip. First 110km took 1.5 hours the last 120km...4.5 hours. At times 10 km/h was WAY too fast. I'll have pictures soon.
Sunrise north of the 52nd parallel.

Ice Road. 300 feet wide and smooth as glass.

Shot of the road. Road really resembled moguls at times. Not bumpy, lumpy, tossing the truck violently from side to side.

Didn't get a chance to take good photos because I travelled at night mostly. Roads are harder and easier to see.
Still, those were pretty good. Thanks for sharing. When do you get to sleep? You work all day then drive all night.
Great pics. Thanks for letting us have a look.
