No, they just get lost and end up in the wilderness all alone.:)
(just couldn't resist--lol)
LOL. After reading the whole thread there is still no answer as to when or where.
Maybe it's a PM affair.
It's a mere 4,826 miles for me.
As the eagle flies.
It would be a heck of a road trip. Maybe some day.
I guess I'm gonna have to take charge and make a command decision.
June 4,5,6th 2010. Sourdoughs homestead in Sunset Alaska.
If you are coming in from out of state then you'll be flying into Anchorage. Once you have your flight info Sourdough or myself can give you our contact info and detailed directions to Sourdoughs homestead.
It's BYOB: Bring your own Bedding, Babe and Bose.
There is one restaurant, two bed and breakfast places, and a public camp ground in Hope,AK. which is 10 miles away. There is lots of parking at my place for Pick-up trucks and or campers, motor homes, Air streams, etc. I have an outhouse, and "NO" covered shelter if it rains. There is world class fishing, and hiking, and lots of bears. There is the fine aroma of "Used" Goose food. There should be daylight from 3:AM till Midnight. The "Finest" White Water rafting in the world is here, and we have two local rafting companies. Historic Mines, and the Hope Museum are worth the time. I have a 175 Yard shooting range for your enjoyment. I am roughly 75 miles North of Seward, AK. and roughly 75 miles South of Anchorage, AK.
From Dallas to Anchorage, AK there are several airlines that are the same price 554 round trip. that doesn't seem to be a bad price to me. Now driving its 4322 miles from my drive way to sunrise.
That gives me march April and may to get caught up and save I would really like to attend.
And I'm going to guess that it is OK to bring any legal firearms and ammo along
That's a fine invitation and it sounds like the trip of a lifetime.
If I get to go and I drive insted of fly, where can I look up the laws on transporting firearms thru Canada.
I don't know how to cut and paste...........so I'll refer you to the: Alaska outdoors forum, they have a running conversation about that, as millions of Humans from America migrate to Alaska, via Canada. (Note: I get greenie points if you say you were referred by: AGL4now )
Thank You Sourdough,
