I have stopped smoking for 3 days now. Not easy to do but motivation is key. Alot of talk around here in TN about the new FSC cigs. Here is a link so you can learn more about what has been done to your cigs

Just thought this might help. I know there are alot of fellow smokers and thought you might need to know this.
Hopefully I will be able to quit for good this time.
Also, you can tell if your cigs are FSC smokes by the stamp on the pack.

You can do it and you'll be much better for it. I quit 6-7-89. If I can, anyone can.
everybody can. i think sthrnstrong has it; it's about motivation.
this is my observation and purely opinion, but when you decide to quit, you have mean it beyond every excuse urging you to have another cigarette.
if you don't, you'll never quit, and when you finally do, you'll quit successfully.
the blasted things go out WHILE I'm smoking them.. these lawmakers are reta... umm... mentally deficient.
I need to quit smoking cigarettes real bad. someone told me they were putting stuff in them to make them go out, but I thought they were just blowing smoke.
what is this nation coming to.. hot coffee gets mickey-dees sued.. you fall asleep with a cigarette in the bed and burn the house down.. marlboro gets sued... whats next? gun manufacturers getting sued because someone got murdered?
i think they put it in there to get you to smoke more cigarettes. Everyone I know who smokes em smokes more now, because they go out before you're finished and you just light up another rather than mess with it. Plus, the frustration probably lends itself to the increase.
I roll my own, so I don't have the problem.
I quit for the winter season last year. August thru April. i have no real motivation to quit at the moment or I would.
The only way to quit is to quit and if you're smoking name brand the money alone should be motivation enough. $2500-$5000 or more a year depending on how much you smoke.:sailor:
Anyone can give up smoking, but it takes a real man to face cancer.
I worked with a guy that volunteered at the American Lung Association. He used to hand out cards that said Cancer Cures Smoking. He died of lung cancer.
