The damned fool in charge of NORAD, General Gene Renuart, USAF, is wondering if our air-space is over-protected. Now, they're looking at whether or not current "threats" justify the air defense systems put in place after 9-11. I guess these sh!theads have forgotten that everyone asked why we were caught with our pants down 8 years ago.

It appears that keeping our fighter planes on alert and on patrol is "too expensive." I guess that spending money bailing out corrupt corporations and funding bullsh!t "stimulus" programs is more important than our national defense.

THIS IS ONE OF THE MANY REASONS WHY I BELIEVE OUR GOVERNMENT IS FAILING MISERABLY IN ITS RESPONSIBILITY TO THE PEOPLE! Even contemplating such a reduction is gross incompetence bordering on criminal negligence.

These people have the memory span and the intelligence of an amoeba. If this reduction is implemented and one, JUST ONE, American life is lost as a consequence, the person or people responsible for making such a decision should face a firing squad.

I am shaking my head. They will never learn and bend to the willy nilly wind of pressure. Maybe a degree in history should be mandatory for all in our national chain of command.

I am starting to spread a protest. I have been doing this for years, but would exhort others to participate. Refuse to shake the hand of any politician on any and all levels. I know it is a minor display, but is something easy to do, and will leave an impression (however fleeting) on the alledged minds of our elected officials. We need to start somewhere to get through to them.

Oh, come on, Ken. It costs $50 million a week! $50 million. That's a lot of money. How on earth are we expected to pay the estimated $884 billion dollars it's expected to cost for health care? If we scrap a few unnecessary programs like NORAD, and, say, the Navy and perhaps even, oh, I don't know, how about Congress, then we might scrape enough cash together to pay for it. Priorities, my friend. It's all about priorities.

I'm working on a complete revamp of the government. So far, I have Larry the Cable Guy sitting in the Oval Office, which is being renamed the Double Holer Office. Bill Engvall will be the Vice. Ron White will be Secretary of State. Pat Morita will be Secretary of Defense. Once he whips a "wax on, wax off" on our enemies they will be history. Porky Pig will be the under secretary....if you know what I mean...can you say Islam? I knew you could.

That's a rough cut. I'm still working on it.

Easy fix. Start killin' inmates, until you have the room. As a side effect of my fix, I bet crime rates drop like never before! :innocent:
