In the 11th (I think) picture, is that vapor trails coming off the tips of the props?
What ever it is.....it's a cool looking picture. I've never seen that.
Good job.

Not sure, but I think it's just the ghost image of the polished props (and slower shutter speed). Like I said, not sure. Only noticed it while downloading the pics. Didn't seet it while watching. The plane is Fat Albert - the C-130 Hercules that flies with the Blue Angles.

In the 9th pic, where it looks like I'm looking down on the helicopter - he's doing vertical climbs and dives with rolls thrown in.

Seeing the Blue Angels reminds me of a story, i was a brand new 3rd class petty officer with less than a year in the Navy and we were having an air show at NAS Brunswick, ME.
I got tasked with guard duty at one of the ramp acesses. My orders were to let noone on to the ramp unless they were in a flight suit or had a special ramp pass. Well up rolls this car with Joe studmuffin jet jock and 2 gorgeous babes. They get out of the car and want acess to the ramp (note he wasn't in uniform and didn't have his pass). i respectfully informed him that without either he could not pass. The girls giggled, he got pissed and says "do you know who I am" to which i replied "no sir". He then told me that he is one of the pilots of the Blue Angels to which i told him without proof I could not allow him to pass. It was about that time that the Master Cheif in charge of the security detail rolls up and asks what is going on. I and the jet jock explain the situation, the MC took responsibility for allowing acess to the ramp. After the jet jock walked away with the girls he commended me for not letting him pass and said the pilot was an *** and hoped he caught the clap.

I don't get it. Why would applause be a bad thing? I thought they performed for that.
