First Aid Kits
We talk about first aid kits from time to time. Its probably a topic that bears repeating. There have been a lot of good posts on them in the past. Things like what to carry, and what to carry it in. Ken recently posted the idea of using a fishing tackle box for a car based kit which will give you an organized platform to hold all of your stuff. Based on the recent mishap of one of our beloved members, I thought I'd bring the topic up again.
This is my main first aid kit that sits next to my BOB's I also have a smaller first aid kit in each vehicle, along with two or three that I can grab of day hikes, camping, etc.

Thanks, Crash. That's a reminder that should be repeated often.

Yeah, it helped me...I need to put some meds in my first aid kit..

Agreed!
BTW, any word on Gray Wolf? I've always maintained that learning 1st aid & CPR Should be priority #1 in survival training! You are just as likely to use your 1st aid kit as you are your freakin' survival knife in any given survival situation. when the tornado hit the Boy Scout camp i Iowa, it was 1st aid that the scouts went to. Later on they told their Scoutmaster that this event had made them realized that the Scout motto was more than just a couple of words. "Be Prepared" is not just about cutlery! I'll be posting several of my 1st Aid kits a bit later on. Great thread idea Crash! :cool2:

I think Rick is waiting to hear from Mrs. Gray Wolf on his status.

One addition I suggest for those w/o medical training is a good book on First Aid. I have several.

Still have not heard back on Gray Wolf.

Another nice kit is a multi layer tool box, but having all the right things does not help if u do not know how to use them. Take a course, do some training, and know what you have to work with, know what it looks like, how it it used, and what it can be used for. Nice kit Crash.

Nice kit Remy...Nice and compact.

nice kit remy. i never really thought about having a disposable shaving razor in a first aid kit, but i can see how that can be really handy with shaving an area where you need to make some sort of incision.
