An emergency stove...
I finally field tested this little stove I made out of some pieces of coat hanger & an old Tuna fish can. I used the side cutters of my multi-tool to cut the coat hanger "grill pieces" to size 7 the pliers to bend them once they were placed in the top holes. I poked 6 holes in the top of the can along the rim with the awl from my Swiss Army knife, 3 on each side across from each other; & a series of holes along the bottom to draw in air. Used it with a Tryoxolene Tab & it heated up a small container of water just fine! Also it only takes about 10 minutes to put together. :cool2:

Nice job. It's always nice to make field improvised stuff.

Great idea. That would be fast and simple to put together.

nice little stove, good job.

These little stoves can work very well indeed. I think Rick just wrote a post about 3 stoves he whipped up and tested.

Bigger ones, though. I like this little guy. As long as you understand the basic mechanics of draft for the fire you can convert just about anything, I guess. There is so much junk to found almost anywhere that you can have a stove going in no time built from trash along the trail.
Nice job, Sarge!!!!
