Anyone Been to Boundary Waters?
Well, it's been a while since I've been on the forum. Did some traveling. car broke down. fixed it. then did some more traveling. Finally the car crapped out, so cheers. Good to be back.
Anyways, I'm planning a week long trip to Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Minnesota for Summer 2009. The last time I was there was about 10 years ago with my old man so I don't have a very good sense of the area and specific routes to take.
Does anyone have any field tested routes to take at Boundary Waters? From what I've gathered, Moose Lake is one of the more popular launch points so we're planning to ship off from there, but if there's a better place to start or specific sites to see off of Moose lake or anywhere else please let me know.
Also, does anyone know if the windstorm in 99' has had any lasting effect on the park? And if so, what should I look out for?
