I ran across this site and wanted to post it ONLY because of their huge gear selection. I ignore the stuff on the left column and spent over an hour going thru the hand tools and camping segments. Please don't think I support or wish to discuss "the 2012 theories". Just passing info on for other gear fanatics.

Unless I missed it, they list no way to contact them and have no privacy statement. Even their "About Us" fails to talk about them.
Those are usually key things to look for in an ethical web site. I'm not saying these folks are unethical just to be cautious of this and any site that fails to disclose those basics.

I don't see what's so wrong with putting the manuals online. A lot of people have read FM 21-76, and downloaded a copy. How many more copies have been bought at a surplus store to stash in each bug out bag? Some people would rather buy the hard copy than go to the hassle of having to print/bind it themselves.
EDIT: In fact, you can link to Amazon where you can buy it from the front page of THIS site. :)

If the world is going to end in 2012, then why are we worried about global warming, oil reserves going down, air polution and all the other things. Oh, and all the money spent on saving that catapillar or worm or what ever it was in the Mississippi valley was a complete waste, he is going to die anyway in 2012. Just curious about it, I know I have completely to much time on my hands. :tongue_smilie:
Well, you have to do something between now and then and talking about is better than just bloating in the sun. I think we should start a pool on HOW it's going to end. Zombies is sure to be a favorite. However, I like the red giant theory. I'd like to see the sun expand to encompass the earth. Of course, if that happens, we're hosed because no one has been stocking up on sunscreen.
