What OS are you running? Windows Vista has Snipping Tool built in. If you aren't running Vista then you need an add on like MWSnap (free) or Snagit. Here's a bunch.

I dumped Vista on the home computer. Went back to XP. Thanks for the links!

Print screen will give you the whole screen. Those other apps allow you to select what part of the screen you want to capture.
